Every Volkan chest is designed and made by Matt Humphries in his Rochester, New York workshop.
Precision-cut Baltic birch, antique brass hardware, inlaid epoxy details, neodymium magnets, handcrafted mechanisms, walnut finishes and a shellac topcoat turn Volkan into something designed to look just as good on the shelf after you’ve conquered it.
No factory. No mass-production line.
Just one small family workshop building the first adventure in what Matt hopes will become a growing collection of handcrafted puzzle boxes.
